Luca Uras is a Sardinian trumpeter who holds the first trumpet chair (prima tromba) of the Orchestra Jazz della Sardegna (OJS), a Sassari-based big band founded in 1989 as the Blue Note Orchestra and renamed in 1996 - by its own account, one of the rare Italian orchestras that has operated without interruption since its founding. The orchestra's current roster lists him on trumpet and flugelhorn.
