Beno Hendler started bass at fifteen in a band called Excalibur, and at twenty-two, while studying at the Rimon School of Music, co-founded the jazz-rock band Farwa Hama with Lior Frankel. From there he built one of the busiest session and production careers in Israeli popular music: touring and recording bassist for Avi Toldano, the rap act Fishy HaGadol, Mooki, Pioneers of Space, David Broza, and Tomer Yosef, with whom he co-released the 2009 album Trampoline; house bassist and co-producer for Barry Sakharof from 2004; bass on Balkan Beat Box's 2007 hit "Hermetico"; producer and mixer for Los Caparos across two albums; and later work with HaMoshava, Ehud Banai tribute projects, Shai Tsabari's 2015 debut Shacharit, and Shuli Rand.

He joined the beat-jazz trio Buttering Trio — founded in Berlin by producer Rejoicer (Yuval Havkin) and vocalist/saxophonist KerenDun — as its bassist, reconvening with the group in Tel Aviv; sources differ on whether this was 2012 or 2013. The trio, signed to the Tel Aviv label Raw Tapes, released Toast (2013), Jam (2014), Threesome (2016) and Foursome (2022, with drummer Amir Bresler joining the lineup), touring the UK, Germany, France and India. In 2015 Hendler co-founded the twelve-member beat collective LBT (Live Beat Tapes) alongside KerenDun, Rejoicer, Amir Bresler, Yonatan Albalak and others, producing their debut compilation The Singles; he also co-produced a 2010 Meir Ariel tribute album with Eyal Talmudi. He has released two solo electronic albums on Raw Tapes, Game Over (2012) and Beat Heaven (2015).

Hendler's career runs substantially wider than jazz — the bulk of his documented work is as a session bassist and producer across Israeli pop, hip-hop and world-beat acts. His jazz-adjacent credentials sit specifically in the Raw Tapes/beat-jazz scene, most concretely through Buttering Trio and the LBT collective, both of which share personnel and a production sensibility with other Raw Tapes/Time Grove-affiliated artists already documented on this site.
