Lee Doheon (이도헌) is a South Korean jazz drummer who appears in the credits of a good many Seoul-scene records from 1998 to 2025 and about whom almost nothing else has been published. No source found gives his birth date, birthplace, schooling or teachers, and no interview with him turned up. What can be documented is where his name is printed: on albums by the singer Malo, the pianists Mijung Lim and Yang Joon Ho, the guitarist Jean Oh, the bandleader Juhan Lee and the pianist and singer Gina, on a folk-song jazz project led by the bassist Wonsool Lee, and on a video-game soundtrack released on vinyl in 2025. Discogs files him under the Hangul spelling 이도헌 with the profile line "Korean drummer" and the name variation Doheon Lee. Every credit below prints the name in Hangul; the Latin spelling Lee Doheon is used here, other profiles on this site write it Lee Do-heon, and a band's own upload of one track spells it Lee, Do Heon.

The earliest dated group is The Quartet (더 쿼텟), which the pianist Yang Joon Ho formed in 1998 with the guitarist Park Yong-gyu (박용규), the bassist Lee Soon-yong (이순용) and Lee Doheon on drums. The liner notes of Yang's 2008 album Portrait In Bill Evans give the founding year, and the group's own upload of its title piece "Morning" lists the line-up with Lee on drums. Its album First Morning came out in 2000, and the same notes say the group ended when its members went abroad to study. In 1999 Discogs credits a drummer named 이도헌 on nine of the eleven tracks of Vol.1 by the band Roller Coaster (롤러코스터), a Korean pop record that Discogs tags Electronic and Jazz with the styles acid jazz, jazz-funk and electro (DMR DM-064-2, released July 1, 1999). The record gives no instrument for him beyond "Drums" and says nothing else about him.

In 2007 he is the drummer named first in the notes of Gina's Ginagram Vol.2 (Huks Music, April 10, 2007). The Bugs release notes say Lee was among the players who had kept performing with her, and that the bassist Seo Young-do (서영도) was a partner who had played with Lee for a long time; a second drummer, Philip, is also credited on the album.

On January 17, 2014 the guitarist Jean Oh released 어제가 있는 자화상 (roughly, a self-portrait with a yesterday), a trio record that Bugs describes as recorded about two years earlier with Wonsool Lee on bass and Lee on drums. That album and his place in Wonsool Lee's later folk-song band are the two credits that tie him to the same bassist.

Two records from 2019 follow. Composure (February 26, 2019), the fourth album of the pianist Mijung Lim, was her first in eight years, and her label names the players as the guitarist 한운기, the bassist Kim Dae-ho (Daeho Kim) and Lee on drums, in solo, trio and quartet settings. Just over a week later, on March 6, 2019, Lee played drums on three of the ten tracks of Jazz Cookin', the fourth album of the pop-jazz group Winterplay led by the trumpeter Juhan Lee: "연극이 끝난 후", "Imagine" and "Love Me Tender"; two other drummers, 김민찬 and 이규형, play on the remaining tracks. On April 30, 2022 he is the drummer on Winterplay's single "Gganbu (067 & 240)", a piece Juhan Lee wrote for the International Jazz Day broadcast from Seoul.

His longest run of credits is with the singer Malo. Label notes for her double album 송창식 송북 (Song Changsik Song Book, October 15, 2020) name the band of the pianist Lee Myeong-geon (이명건), the guitarist Hwang I-hyeon (황이현), the bassist Jeong Yeong-jun (정영준) and Lee on drums as the players without whom the album would not have been possible; the Korean Music Awards gave it Best Jazz and Crossover Album in the jazz category on February 28, 2021. The same four players, with the percussionist Kim Jeong-gyun (김정균), back the vocal quartet Carina Nebula (Malo, Park Raon, Kim Min Hee and Kang Yun-mi) on Good Match (April 27, 2023), a Best Jazz Vocal Album nominee at the 21st Korean Music Awards. The notes to Malo Live at Muddy (July 24, 2025), recorded over two nights in May 2024 in the club Muddy in Gunsan, say the four have worked with Malo for more than ten years; that album won Best Jazz Vocal Album at the 23rd Korean Music Awards on February 26, 2026. On April 11, 2026 the quartet's concert "Jazz Divas" at the Seo-gu Cultural Center in Daegu was billed with the same four players as its band.

In between he joined a different kind of project. The Jarasum Jazz Festival's "Jarasum Beyond" series presented the Dunggi Doobop Project on October 3, 2022, a band that reworks regional folk songs as jazz under the bassist Wonsool Lee as music director, with the vocalist Kim Bo-ra (김보라), the guitarist Kim Dong-hwan (김동환), the geomungo player Hwang Jin-a (황진아), the trumpeter Bae Seon-yong (배선용) and Lee as drummer. The festival page names him as the project's drummer, and the album 덩기두밥 프로젝트 followed on February 7, 2023; its notes describe him as a drummer whom many players like to work with for his fluent playing.

Smaller entries fill out the picture. On July 12, 2024 the Incheon club Bottomline listed a free show by the Organic Band of the bassist Hocheol Kim with the saxophonist Han Seung-min (한승민), the guitarist 김수우 and Lee on drums. And in December 2025 the three-LP set Black Desert (10th Anniversary), music from Pearl Abyss's video game, includes a "Jazz In Black Desert" side on which Discogs credits him on drums for four tracks, beside Mijung Lim on piano and arrangements, Daeho Kim on contrabass for three of them, Yongseok Lee on saxophone and the trumpeter Jo Jeonghyun (조정현).

No interview or statement from him about influences or training was found, so this section describes only what the records show.

The settings are varied. In Malo's band he plays arrangements that range from swing and bossa nova to tango, on Korean songs and, on the live album, standards by Chick Corea, Betty Carter and others; with Mijung Lim he plays quiet piano-led trio and quartet jazz; with Wonsool Lee he supports folk songs reworked in jazz; with Juhan Lee's Winterplay he plays pop-jazz arrangements of "Love Me Tender" and "Imagine"; and on the Black Desert vinyl he plays jazz arrangements of game themes. The common thread in the credits is accompaniment: he is a band drummer, and no record found carries his name as leader.

A drummer named 이도헌 also appears on a 1999 pop-rock record, and Korean sources list other people of the same name, among them an actor and a professor. None of those is tied to the jazz credits here, and the actor is a different person.
