Noam David was born in Jerusalem in 1971. He has built a career largely as a sideman, most significantly across multiple recordings with bassist Avishai Cohen: a credit on the 2017 film soundtrack Le Sens de la Fête, the 2019 album Arvoles, and the 2024 album Brightlight, on which he appears among the additional/guest musicians rather than as the regular touring-trio drummer, a chair more recently held by Roni Kaspi. His own biography describes him as a member of Cohen's international trio, a framing that most likely reflects an earlier period of that relationship rather than his current standing.

His debut album as leader, Alef Melody, was self-produced and released March 29, 2017, recorded at Kicha Studios in Tel Aviv with Avishai Cohen on bass, Omri Mor on piano and oriental keyboard, and Avri Borochov on bass, with photography by Dan Balilty. The Jerusalem Post covered the album's release, quoting David: "I feel I can fly with this music. You know, improvising with music, and with life, are really just the same." He has also recorded with Jo Kaïat, on her 2020 album Come to My World, alongside Cohen, Gilad Abro and Ilan Katchka, and appears on earlier releases including the 2007 White Night Festival compilation on the Kadima Collective label.

David's recorded output centers on a stable circle of collaborators — Avishai Cohen, Omri Mor and Avri Borochov chief among them — working in a post-bop idiom with Middle Eastern coloring, most visible on his own leader session. His career reads as that of a working sideman drummer whose most significant standing credential is a long, if not currently regular, relationship with one of Israeli jazz's most internationally established bassists.
